reprocess opinions sought for moon jupiter and venus shot from 30 November 2008

OK i was doing some playing around at lunch time - which one of these for some reason appeals to you or looks good? I am seeking which one looks the best to you as i want to use it for a display.

they were taken the night before the Venus Jupiter moon conjunction in November (before December 1 2008)

Took me a while to choose but I picked #8

Some very nice images there David but for me, the stand outs are 1 and 6 due to the contrast the darker sky gives to the reflections on the water.
They just have more impact, more aesthetic appeal I think.

i have to go for the darker sky, initially i thought a bit of post sunset light would be nice , but the contrastier shots are the go .

The images that are darker with more contrast still have more of a visual impact for me.

I still prefer 1 or 6.
I think 1 is the best because the Moon Jupiter an Venus remain symmetrical, the continuous lines of their disks have symmetry. In all of the other darker images, where you have an earlier capture and then go into your timing sequence a few minutes later, the Moon especially, is deformed.

I think that detracts from those images. In 1, even though there still may be some elongation of the disk of the Moon, that deformity is hidden by the next exposure.

Just my thoughts.

i think the last one hits the spot, just a hint of horizon light , yet still captures the nice reflections on the water, and nice darkish skies. Thats the one !

I like #6 in the poll. But your 1.47am image is certainly more appealing for me.

I agree the darker night highlights the relected lights but the touch of sunset colours is very appealing in that last posted image.
