Another of my recent galaxy images.

This one taken with the Tak BRC250 at F5 and Microline 8300.
Astronomik LRGB filters, Tak NJP mount.

LRGB 60 45 45 45.

An interesting galaxy with what seems to be a smaller galaxy embedded in it.

Tad wide field, but smooth and detailed Greg, nice to see something different.

Mate that's a really good galaxy image, NGC 1097 is a very interesing target too - nice.

You have the sky just right IMO, often guys show this way too black especially around galaxies but the sky just aint black, it's more very dark grey..like in this image!

Very nice. You can even see some other real small galaxies in the background and it looks like there maybe something extending from the galaxy structure to the bottom right corner of it . Top shot. Crisp as.

Thanks Paul. As Peter Ward says focus focus focus.

Yes it is a tad wide field. I think the TEC (not tried on a galaxy yet) being F7 for the same focal length may get a bit more image scale. I am thinking of getting the Baader fluorite flatfield converter to add some adjustable long focal length to the kit as an option.

Greg.

Thanks Mike. It is tempting to simply slide the black point over to handle noise but it comes at a cost.

Thanks Les.

Thanks Rich. The FLI digital focuser made all the difference in getting it very sharp.

Greg.

Thanks. Its amazing how many galaxies show up in the background of images.

Fantastic choice of target... Very interesting to look at... Apart from that, I echo everyone else... Focus, colours, tracking all look flawless..
