6 1/4 hours is quite a time investment, it wasnt so long ago most of us thought 6 exposures was enough, .... havent things changed. although its a well known object, to bring up enough detail takes quite some exposing.

I just wish i knew more about processing to bring out more detail.

Hi Martin,
Nice image with nice smooth edges to the nebula but it does look a little bright, at least on my monitor. Lowering the brightness a tad will also bring out more detail in the dust lanes and edges of the folds of the nebula..

But i wont do a re reprocess and post it :shrug: , gets boring :lol:

Yes rob this was thru the ED80 with a 0.8 reducer/flattner.
