I like Australia day. It is a day for Australians. but what a farce. We have an "Australian" of the year (political correctness gone astray) whose first words are to cancel Australia day. We have Australia day honours given to people who never did anything for us that they did not already get paid handsomely for, and we have a prime minister who would rather be anywhere except in Australia.

Hows that for a stir!

BAZ;):P:lol:

Good find Ron. Lets hope we the majority, can all remember and enjoy what Australia stands for and not have to be reminded about it in text of a foreign paper!
Have a great and safe day everyone.

Just about to fire up the Barbie for a Aussie Day lunch.

It's a great scene at the moment overlooking the dam with a few Easten Grey Skippy's watching the proceedings and the guest's will soon be arriving, all 2 million of them (flies). Currently sunny, clear skies and 31 degrees.

Have a great day whatever your doing and wherever you are.

Cheers:)

Having a barbie round here this afternoon. Have just finished the pre-cleanup and setting up.
Will make some burnt offerings to the Gods of woodsmoke, drink a lot of beer, have a thong throwing competition, drink a lot of beer, tell lies to each other, drink a lot of beer, watch the annular eclipse later today, and maybe drink a bit more beer.
Hope you all waltz the Matilda safely!

Friends came around today with a heap of balloons with the Aussie flag printed on them.
Couldn't help but notice that they all had the Southern Cross printed back to front with epsilon sitting next to beta as opposed to delta.
And they were upside down. Ah well.
Umpired a cricket game (I refuse to play the silly game) between Aussies and Kiwis and deliberately gave the game to the Kiwis. Every one was pissed and didn't know the score.
I told the Aussies that we were men enough to take a loss, and besides, everyone was bowling under-arm.
Showed everyone the annular eclipse through a welding helmet, kids and adults.
EVERYONE was amazed!
