I am posting an image I took last year in April (probably 8th) 2008.

It's the first time I have actually imaged anything. I was surprised at what I was able to get.

A stack of 3 images pulled from video with light processing in Registax.

Taken with PST, DMK21 on a Celestron Nexstar 80 GoTo mount.

It was a battle to keep the scop+mount stable. The mount is too light for this type of work.

Good shot. Shows what can be done with 40mm aperture and 0.7A bandwidth.
I found the PST would easily take a x2 or x3 barlow to increase the image size in the DMK.
I use my Klee x2.8 and generally try for 500-800 frames, pick the best and stack with Registax.......

Hmm, I may have used a 2x barlow to image.

After taking this image I've only set up the camera twice more but cloud vapors (?) seemed to make focusing too difficult.

It has actually wetted my appetite to image the night sky.

Thanks
