I'm just curious,
What should I be viewing with my Celestron Astromaster 130EQ.
I've also got my 1.25" eyepiece set. Making my highest magnification 328X.

Any suggestions?

arman i would not be pushing the 5" reflector to 300x, even on a great night i would have thought 200x would be the most you would wanna push it to. have you viewed saturn & venus -what have you looked at so far?

Not that much,

Just about Venus and the occasional moon.
And besides that,
I've been doing Solar observations with the filter.

Now that scares me, I hope it's not a filter at the eyepiece end. If the filter isn't on the front of the telescope don't use it.

Eyepiece filters are notorious for shattering under the concentrated heat from the telescope.
The results of using one of these items (which I understand are banned from sale in Australia) can be instant and permanent blindness as well as glass splinters in the eye.

If your solar filter is one that screws on to the eyepiece don't use it.

How far can you see? NGC 1316 is 62 million light years away and visible in my 20x80 binoculars.
