Ok I am lowering the price on this......old price was $1800 its now $1500. This is a steal for a mount of this quality...
I am selling my Vixen GP-DX EQ mount head with Sky Sensor 2000 PC 2.05 as I find myself not leaving my permanent observatory for field work anymore.
This is a great astrophotography setup not to be confused with the standard GP mount or EQ4,5's. The mount is superb with PE measured at < 7 arcsec. I have used this mount to take some great pictures. Add an Orion ED80 to this and you have a magnificent imaging platform for guided and unguided astrophotography.
The Sky sensor is in good condition and provides accurate goto’s. See Ron Wodowskis review of this mount here: http://www.wodaski.com/wodaski/review_GP_DX.htm
It comes with all cables including PC connector cable to control mount from Planetarium software.
The GP-DX comes with the Vixen Polar Alignment scope, standard weights plus extra 13lb vixen weight. I will take some pictures of the mount and post them shortly.
The mount is suitable for telescopes weighing up to about 22 lb. / 10 kg, this can include
Refracting telescopes up to about 130 mm aperture *
Reflecting telescopes up to about 250 mm *
Catadioptric telescopes of up to about 230 mm *
I am not selling the tripod, as it is a custom made heavy duty Jarrah Tripod that weights about 30 kg. The GP-DX mount will fit on any EQ4, EQ5, or HEQ5 tripod.
Price is $1500 AUD. Buyer pays shipping. Prefer local sale as shipping costs OS will be extreme. (GP-DX EQ head only new costs $1500 by itself. Skysensor 2000 with motors etc.. cost over $1800 in australia)
