I have a video player with no plug on it, ( I cut of and threw it away:screwy:)
I want to put a new plug on it, the two wires are coloured Blue and Brown,
Which is positive and which is negative, or does it matter?

There is not positive and negative on 240V AC. Wire the brown wire (Active) on the plug where there is letter A moulded beside the screw terminal. Blue wire (Neutral) goes on the terminal with N beside it. Loop the wires thru notches in front of the plug.
