Yes, yet another Eta clogging up the forum. Can't help it - have been tweaking this shot from my unmodded 450D about to see just what it possible adjusting colours. Both pics from the same stacked master in a previous thread, approx 20mins data.

1. Original treatment mainly with stretching
2. More tomfoolery with colours, shadows, contrast

BTW, while researching Eta at Wikipedia, came across this great annotated mosaic Hubble pic for those that haven't seen it. 2nd site offers amazing zoomable view of pic - you can even zoom down to the homonculous around the star!!! (I hadn't realised Eta was visible in these pics - thought it was obscured in the keyhold neb)

Nice image Rob. Fiddling is infectious, isn't it? LOL!!

Thanks for the links. It reminds us how the HST presents this nebulous region - in a lot more yellow and blue shades than we're all getting. Interesting! :)

I was starting to realise just how much effort needs to go into a decent processing of raw data, but heck - everytime you think you've learned a couple of things you feel you need to revisit old favs! And if its infectious, you're definitely a carrier Chris.....

At least we're havin' fun!
