Hi guys.
Here's a couple of images of that huge sunspot ar798, that's erupting solar flares and causing those beautiful aurora. Taken on Sep 10, at approx 10am AEST.
Details:
- 10" dob on EQ platform
- ToUcam @ 10fps
- FL: 1250mm (newt prime focus). Seeing was not good enough to barlow.
- Seeing: 5.5/10
- Each image is a single frame, processed in photoshop.
Comments welcome.

good stuff mike :)
I actually got to see them before the clouds came over (just) I whipped the camera out and went to take pics... Bec had taken the batteries over to her friends place! :(
so I grabbed some batteries out of the stereo remote (1/2 flat) and tried some pics. I got 2 before the batteries went flat... heres one, out of focus slightly.
need to do some work on this but it ws extremely rushed... :help:
:poke:
Nice shot ving for a quick snap.......
