Yea I'm annoyed how it explains that you get a filter to protect your eyes from the glare of the Moon and then it tells you how you will be able to see the flares on the Sun, with out the mention of any protection, gee some people are stupid.
It would also be a rare event to actually see a Meteor crashing to Earth through any of those supplied EP's.

Actually he is not too far off with the description of the GEM mount. It looks like one of the older fairly solid EQ2 mounts. Whack a RA drive on it and it probably wouldn't be a too bad widefield (ie 50mm or smaller) mount. It's certainly better than the mount from the second link.

While you're there picking up the scope, let him know about IIS.
He seems like our sort of person.

What about this jjj I got home from work theres a small parcel on my doorstep and its addressed to me with someone elses name on it.
So i looks in the phone book and found her number and rang it and the things disconected, went to the address and no one there.
So now its in my cupbourd untill they sort it out and find out where it went.
When she knocks then she can have it....Has to be a small ebay parcel.

Strange Kev,
I saw a very interesting 1hour program on TV a while back about credit card scammers, its pretty much standard for these people that have managed to get hold of someones credit card details(there are websites that list them :eyepop: ) to 'test' the card by purchasing something at random, and sending it to some random address with a random name on it(pulled from phone book).
They're not interested at all in the item from the 'test' purchase or even seeing if it gets delivered, they just want to know if the card can be charged to, if it works they then spend up big and ship to an address they can collect from.
In the program, the reporter got a new credit card from a bank, told them what he was doing and they helped him with the investigation. They listed the cards details on one of those sites and sat and watched all the transactions 'live' on the banks computer.
Within seconds the card was being 'tested' by people from all over the world, just little purchases like $20 here $10 there etc, within mins the card was was being used for $1000+ purchases, the reporter then chased up the purchases thru the vendors and got adresses and then posed as a fedex courier making the deliveries to confront the scammers.
There was a woman(who acted as an inbetween, a delivery address) who's house was so full of packages it looked like a warehouse, she had no idea what was in any of them, she got paid when people came to collect.
