After drooling over Martin Pugh's recent rendition of the Horse head nebula... I contacted Martin enquiring about perhaps purchasing a print.. After a bit of discussion on the matter, I decided to buy not only his stunning Horse Head image, but also the APOD winning image of the Running Man Nebula.
They are both A3 sized, on very nice photographic paper, and believe it or not, the prints out do the web images in terms of quality.. Sheer brilliance!
They arrived today and after a quick trip down to the shops to buy a couple of frames, I now post photos of Martins Photos.. Unfortunately, due to the afternoon light in the room and the glossy prints/glass in the frames, I couldn't manage to get close up shots without reflections.. Much less reflections of my head/shoulders etc.. :) what can you do I guess...
In addition to the pictures (which were very well packed for postage and arrived without a hint of a crease or defect, The package also contained an A4 sized information sheet, with details about the object pictured, where it is, whats going on in the image etc, and also capture details. These were printed on high quality silver paper, and I half considered buying seperate frames for them and hanging them underneith their respective image..
I cant express how happy I am with these pics, hence I thought I'd show them off a bit on the forums :)
Big thanks to Martin for the great pics, and brilliant production quality of the prints... And also for throwing in 20 post cards with his fantastic Corona Australis image printed on them.. A very nice addition...
Without further ado.. Images of Deep Space Images.. :)
Cheers.
