Hi all fellow Amatuer Astronomers.
Its been a looooong time between posts but have slowly been putting my imaging equipment together.
Decided to try it all out on Orion nebula something bright and easy to see.
Equipment used Skywatcher ED80, Orion Short Tube as tracking scope, Qguider, and Canon 30D for imaging (unmodded). Eq6 mount with goto upgrade fitted. PHD used to to autoguide.
Imaging sequence.
20 x 30sec
10 x 60sec
6 x 3min
9 x 8min
Stacked in Deepsky stacker
Processed in PS3.
Comments welcomed as this is one steep learning curve.

Mate... If thats what you call learning.. I'll be really really excited to see what you'll produce in a few months time!

Fantastic shot... some of the stars look... odd.. however the nebula and the dusty Ha regions around Orion and the running man are FANTASTIC! you should be VERY proud...

Alex.

Thanks for the comments.
As for the stars I have no flats so the corners will have Vignetting and only used ICNR and also found that dew had formed on the lens so have halo round the stars. I guess thats what you mean, I have not worked out how to fix this yet. Also compressed down from a 42mb file so will have large amount of Jpeg artifacts.
Next target will be either Trantula Neb or Carina if we get more cloud free days soon.
