Hi,
last week I took a pic of the witch, IC 2118.
It`s a difficult object, because the distance to the horizon is small.
I used the Canon 350d mod. and the Canon EF 200. 6x600s with ISO 800:

It was so damned cold, 3.2 F !!! (manual tracking control :P)

Werner the cold did you a favour by helping to reduce the noise. nice image

Nice shot!!!....the cold has served you well. Hardly any noise in that shot.
Oh...BTW, have you managed to chip your eyepiece away from your eye:P:D

Certainly a great effort, this one is a bugger of an object at the best of times, you seem to have captured it very well.

thanks for your comments.
This object is one of my favorites. It looks so spooky. So I tried everything to catch it.
And now I will try to make a pic with the Pentax75.
