View Full Version here: : Ok Another Tiring Time with the Broom Lady
Hi Guys, two nights ago I showed you my first attempt at the Witch Head Nebula, and although I was pleased to actually get a result at all of this very faint object, I decided to go with the flow and try for higher ISO and Sub frames.
I don't feel it did much for the image as this one consists of 14 frames of 8 minutes each at 800 ISO, I usually only do 400 ISO, however, please have a look and compare.
All Processing, and equipment is the same as my last post. ;)
Cheers Leon

Not bad at all Leon. Its good to see you take on this target with the FSQ. Its is a difficult target at the best of times given its low surface brightness. Keep at it mate. Go deep and you'll be rewarded...that's for sure.

Great stuff Leon. The old biddy is one on my list for the summer too. I tried for it a couple of weeks ago but didn't get the exposure time needed to create anything other than a faint whisp. You've done well here. I'm still fascinated by your FSQ's ability to create diff spikes!
I'm thinking that it's time to mod my camera...
Yep Leon she is certainly coming out of her closet to get you now :lol:

Keep trying Leon....good work!!:D
Might have to crank up the ol' luminosity on Rigel to get the old biddy to start shining:P:D
You know what guys, :D I will get this old bugger on her broom, ;) yea, yea, yea, many thanks for your comments.
Leon
Ah Chris I do the spike stuff on purpose to hide the very bright stars bloating all over the place, it is only a bit of fishing line in a frame to fit over the front of the scope.
