Hi,

i am currently using a Celestron power tank 17 250amp unit to run my EQ6 pro mount and so far everything has been fine. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that when I plugged the cigarette adapter into the left side power unit I had no power to the scope. This is the first time this occurred. I switched to the right hand side and everything worked fine. On new years eve i had the unit running for 5 hours and when I turned of and then later on I got no power from both sides. I recharged fully and the lights on the unit indicate all is OK but the red light on the adapter does not come on. Has anyone experienced this before and can offer advice? It has two fuses and one is a wire fuse that looks fine. The other is a button that is clicked in. The forcast is for fine weather tomorrow night so I would like to rectify this if possible by then.

Thanks,

Mark

You're probably already aware from what you've described Mark, but there's a fuse inside the cigarette lighter plug. Should unscrew. If there's no light this is one likely possibility.

I've blown mine, and currently using the unfused adapter that came with my cheapie Dick Smith power supply for the jumper starter battery too. Must go fuse hunting though....
