Hello all...
Managed to grab a few decent subs over the last few nights.

Not too happy with the noise - but still seems to be like drawing teeth in the processing to bring out the detail.

Usual setup - lens at 280mm f5.6
18x10mins, iso1600 ICNR on, flats.

Pic 2 is for leon - got to be a record there...3 trails in a 10min 280mm image!?

High Res...

Thanks for looking...IMO this object still seems to lie in the CCD target camp. Us DSLR guys have to devote way too much time on it to get passable results!
Still, it was fun trying - what was that?? ... "a cooled DSLR"...mmmmm!!!
All the best
Doug:thumbsup:

Leon that part of the sky needs traffic lights!

Nice one Doug. You have pulled the fine detail out without lifting the noise levels. The whispy nebulosity is fine and detailed and very realistic.

Very well done Doug. Nice little bits of detail there - and three dimensional. I can see her eye socket quite clearly. Why give up on her now? Another 18 for sure.

Rosette - 7x10mins down and counting!
Nice to actually see something on the LCD after an exposure!
