Hi im new to the boards and new to astronomy. :)
I have a telescope which santa ;) got for me bout ten years ago.
Its a "BIG EYE" UR 45 -144 mm Reflector Telescope.
However a part of the telescope is broken. The 3x Barlow lens.
I live in QLD australia.(near sunshine coast) Could any please point me in the right direction of where to buy or repair this piece.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou

:gday: Lauri and :welcome: to the site. We have a monthly get together at Astroron's place out at Cambroon near Kenilworth most new moon weekends and you would be welcome to join us with your scope. A lot of IIS members from the area turn up.

Either that or you can bring your scope along to the Mapleton Observatory (http://mapletonss.eq.edu.au/mapletonobservatory/) on the third Sunday of each month for the telescope workshop night. If there is none listed for the month in the bookings and courses page give Lainie the secretary a ring and she'll contact me to organize one. ;) Her number is under the table on the bookings and courses page.

Hi Lauri

I have bought a few things form York Optical (http://www.yorkoptical.com/) in Brisbane and have found them very helpful. I don't know if they are able to do repairs.

Good Luck,

Mark :)
