Hi all,

Shot from Mount Ainslie.

I got there a bit late (half-an-hour to kick off time) and as a result, all the optimal spots had been taken.

Shot with the 24-105mm f/4L at f/8 with varying focal lengths of 24mm, 50mm and 105mm.

The crescent Moon and Venus looked stunning.

Regards,
Humayun

Beautiful shots, H!

This looks early evening, is it? What time? (Just seems odd to me not to have the fireworks at midnight...)

Al,

These were the 9 PM fireworks. The main ones are at midnight, but, I didn't make it out for those ones. Next time I'll make sure I'm closer to the lake. Or, better still, on Sydney Harbour! This was my first New Years Eve not in Sydney. I usually make the trek up, but, I'm on call for work so, didn't do it. :)

Regards,
Humayun

Stunning shots there Hamayun!!
Very nice.

I wonder how it would look if you stacked a few fire works shots?
Next time I get the chance I might try it.

Cheers Daniel.

Alex, Andrew, Kev, Daniel & Gary,

Thanks, gents. :)

Daniel, I've never tried. Might give that one a go for the Australia Day fireworks. Should prove interesting!

Humayun
