Ah!! Those were the days...
Project Gutenberg has an interesting astronomical publication added to it on 10th December 2008. The publication is entitled "Astronomical Instruments and Accessories by William Gaertner and Company", this America 1908 document is essentially a catalogue of telescopic equipment that could be purchased from W.M. Gaertner in Chicago.
Very interesting comparison of the optics, mounts and equipment available "off the shelf" 101 years ago. (The 12 in. refractor for $5500 looks a great deal, while the 6mm to 25mm eyepieces for $4.50 seems a steal.)
Contains drawings of various items.
