Hi Guys,

probably heard this a million times but I have a Celestron 9.25 CPC GPS Scope, great telescope but the power connection is on the panel that moves so whenever the scope moves you have to keep an eye on the damn cable because it gets wrapped around the scope or gets in the way of something, so far I have had the cable get stuck and has caused me a lot of misery. is there anything out there I can buy to avoid this problem as I hate having meters of cable on the floor. help is appreciated in advance. surely there must be some sort of device that attaches to the scope and feeds the Cord when needed and retracts it when it is not required, thanks

Hi Ronny,
I have a Celestron Nexstar 6SE. I've only just got the scope. Last night was my first nights clear viewing - very impressed. In the setup menu there is a section on cord wrap. If your scope is similarly controlled then I think this might resolve the problem, although I haven't checked it out yet.

turn the cord wrap to on and the scope will not do a 360 it will go left and right solving the problem of getting tangled up just be awear of the cord where it goes into the scope.you dont want to damage the plug with the cord still getting caught around the tripod
