once more hello in this fading year 08!

this is hopefully not gonna be the final version of my M1-rendition, as I hope next year provides me with better seeing conditions, and more clear skies basically.
if so, I will be able to replace the data I had to play with this time:
one shot color data from 2 years ago (3 hours)
Ha, O3, L and rgb under low-quality seeing condtions from a couple nights I imaged recently in.

please find all data and the images here.
there is a lso a link to the older OSC-version for comparison.

hoping the very best for all of us!

Wow! :eyepop: Fantastic "sneak preview". One of the best M1 I've seen on these forums if not the best so far. Terrific job.

Lovely image Dietmar. This is probably the best image of the detail in M1 I have seen. Can't wait to see the final image.

thanks guys for the nice words!
similar to m76, we ar elooking at almost 12 hours tot. eposure time.
Doug, I am afraid I have seen way better images than this...
google for hannes schedler and capella team. *g*
it is all a matter of seeing conditions.
once you have an optics, capable to image at sub-arcsecond resolution all you really need is a reliable mount and real good conditions!

Well Dietmar I have had a look at the images and imagers you mentioned above and in my opinion the images you have posted here are just as good as the images on these sites. Certainly clear stable seeing does make all the difference but a lot falls back onto skills at the computer and software knowledge and ability.
Love your images.
