There are many eclipses scheduled for the Saturnian moons in 2009. Titan's will be especially obvious if not detailed- repeatedly diving in and out of Saturn's shadow prior to or following disc occultations.
This sim shows Titan clipping the shadow before occultation ingress on 31 Jan 2009 (1230-1400ut).
A confirmation or correction would be appreciated.
If accurate it would be a unique op for lightbuckets and imagers with subarcsecond seeing (Titan spans just under 0.8"). If not, enjoy the 7 second clip (http://tinyurl.com/7qm6v4) .
Here's a Celestia preview of Saturn/Titan events thru September including a triple shadow transit, a Prometheus transit of Titan's shadow, and 7 shadow transits across Titan by its kin moons (6 occur within a 28 hour period on 25/26 Jul).
