Yes the temperature can swing pretty wildly there from 30+ during the day, to near freezing point at night.
I didn't get to any star parties in 2008, so Im looking forward to SV in March.

I remember a time when these camps where the place to be.
ANd they still are.;)
Some threads on the camps went for many pages.
Seems very slow these day's.:)

The SV camp is well worth going to. Like all Star party's they are a wealth of information.

Have a read of this thread.
http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=25742

Lets hope and I'm sure it will be one great camp again.

Ps Chris, I really did like your WO 11O as we mentioned on the above thread.
I have a surprise for you:rolleyes:

Had a great time at the camp, ended up staying the full four nights. Terrific to catch up with old faces and meet many new ones. Thanks to Ken & the team (but particularly Ken!) for all the work in organising another successful camp. Great conditions too - nice dark skies, with viewing every night. Saturday night was the perfect one though!

Have posted a separate obs report, and here are a few pics:

1. Leon beside John G's imaging gear;
2. Geoff's (Starkler's) 15" SDM
3. A few other telescopes
4. Eric's (Erick's) 'observatory'

Border Stargaze is next I think for many of us Southerners, so look forward to catching up with many of you once again! :thumbsup:
