Well,

I shot this with my new DSI II- C on the first night out on my LX200GPS 10" and 30 sec subs (about 50 of them).

Used photoshop to (Fits liberator) to stretch image etc.

This is my first ever post of an image.

Just for the fun of it I have also uploaed my first running man image with a DSI. There is certainlky a difference between the two cameras!

Next I plan to use envisage software to increase the resoltion.

:)

Good first light (DSI II) posting of images Paul. "Gutsy" effort for a prime focus 10" SCT. Would probably help if you guide instead of using Evisage's features (rather limiting). Images look as though they are stretched too hard. You probably did this to bring out the nebulosity, but you need to monitor the star saturation. They are rather bloated. Levels and curves are key. This could simply be focus related, but other details look ok. Keep at it. I look forward to seeing more of your work as your acquisition and processing techniques development.

Yes - thanks for the feedback and comments.

I agree about the autoguiding. I pick up an Skywatcher ED80 next week and will start autoguiding with my DSI, taking images with the DSI II. I will try and switch between the SCT and the ED80 for imaging also. Also, I took this image using a 3.3 CCD focul reducer.

I understand the stars are blown out - and you are right, I tried to get more nebulosity.

I will try and autoguide without a wedge for about 45 sec to 1 min to start with.
