I make the same resolution every year - to be more tolerant of my fellow man ( or woman)
Do I keep it?
Well, I have to make the same resolution every year!:)
In a similar vein but on another note (if you get my drift) - I carry a card permanently in my wallet which reads -
"The reward for patience is more patience"
It's the most "viewed" card in my wallet!:lol:

I resolve to give that short a**e Jen more stick on this forum. :P Especially after she pointed out how young she was when I was already attending astrocamps. :mad2: I'm going to say rude things about her telescope: "rude things about her telescope". See I told you I would!!!

She can't find my home address can she Mr Moderator? :scared3::help:

Nah Jen, it's all OK. Luckily, I never keep my resolutions.

Mine is to get a life...
So I will make a resolution to take up surfing and under water photography...I have given this a lot of thought priced stuff.

Keep away from ladies who confuse me...
AND
Stop mooding over past failures of relationships and keep motivated with various interests that have slipped over the last couple of years.

I haven't thought of any yet Jen but I've still got a few days to go.

One might be to to more imaging but that is more cloud dependent than resolution dependent.

Like to get too know half the people at work more than they deserve too be known and the other half less than I should know them or something like that

Stop being depressed about things I cannot change. Think less - live more.
Give my RBI (repetitive bum injury) a rest and get back to work.
Do a starter course in astronomy

Yup....my record on these resolutions is not good...but that means it can only get better right?

Excuse me! I'm not a little bugger. I'm 115kg of bugger.

According to the IIS info we are 707km apart. So you just have to travel 707km in the correct direction, but which direction? I suggest you walk in a circle centred on your place with a radius of 707km. That way your bound to bump into me sooner or later. :P

The similarity is uncanny.

New Years Resolutions
1. Again I'm going to try to give up the dreaded ciggies.
2. I was nice this year, and it didn't get me very far. So next year I'm going to be naughty.

I was going to be more tolerant towards fools but being myself, bugger it I will vote to stay my same grumpy self and continue to get in trouble as usual. I may even try to smoke a few more and drink a little extra. I tried to find bad woman but they run too fast.

All the best for the new Year you fools.

Jen,

1. to lose the tummy that I've acquired over the last 8 months by going to the gym like I used to;
2. to regain my fitness and run 10km;
3. To get my photography business up and running;
4. To acquire more L-series glass;
5. To engage in more astrophotography (the last image I took was in November, 2007);
6. To finish processing my images from my trip to Europe and print a coffee table book.

There's more, but, that's a start. :P

Regards,
Humayun

Who ever said that a New Years Resolution had to be to better yourself?:whistle:
Life is way too short, and so long as you take responsibility for your actions, and try not to hurt anyone else on the way, enjoy it how you will.

Well, I am now forty, so I get to become a real grumpy old *******. I think I will enjoy that a lot :lol:

Anyway, my main one is to loose about 15 Kg of fat, and to get some level of healthiness. I don't have a plan for that, and fat camps are not for me :sadeyes:

The other resolution is to spend less time piss farting around on the internet...:rofl:

Hi Jen, Hi All,

My resolution for 2009 is to buy a whopping great big 12 inch Skywatcher SW980 or collapsible 12 inch dob. I took a gander at the 12 inch collapsible today and fell in love.....

So I suppose, my resolution is to buy a bigger scope so that I can get more.....resolution?

If thats working in circles then just call me PI.

Cheers

Chris

Over the last few years I've noticed my hair thinning on top and its getting to critical stage, so I've resolved to grow more hair in 2009 ;)

Perhaps I'll cultivate ear hair and do a comb-over :confuse3:

Thanks Alex, Just shift some of your "cast-off's" my way and I can help you use it better. I tried M42 long exposure the other night at Linden with my junky RA drive with missing teeth and almost got seasick what with all the wobbles and such - AND I was drift aligned.

Might need to buy a replacement gear wheel with teeth still on it.

Cheers

I never used to really set New Years Resolutions, but my Karate instructor inspired me the other night so I sat down and set some goals for 2009.

http://www.mikesalway.com.au/2009/01/07/setting-goals-for-2009

There's just not enough time in the day or days in the week to achieve everything I wrote down, unless I get really focused! It's going to be tough with so many distractions just a click away.
