Wow !!
Had my first ever look at this spectacular sight tonight, still can't get over how good it looked.
Took me ages to find it due to a combination of pretty bad LP in my southern views (bloody Steelworks:mad2:)
and the fact I'm a newbie still learning how to star hop.
Can't wait to get out to some dark skies and see it in all it's glory.

welcome to astronomy steve 47 tuc is a spectacular globular cluster low power and enjoy next time looking south and in the wee small hours try and see omega centauri they say the best globular

Steve wait untill you get a bit of darkness happening, you will see the LMC and SMC well before Tuc... and yes you can see tuc with averted vision in semi dark skys, :D not as easy as Omega cent! but still hehehe

Good lucky with your hobby, like all of us we become a bit fanatic about it.

I would like to have a sign up on the side of the road willing people to come in and have a look! IYA here i come
