I,m into computers its always been a hobby ,but i get a lot of calls from people with trouble so i try to help them out when i can.

I'd have to say that it's walking my 2 dogs, Bloke and Lady, in the back paddocks just on sunrise. We've done it every morning since I've owned them (about 5 years) apart from the very odd rainy day or sleep in, Summer and Winter.
It's a truly beautiful time of the day as the glorious sun bathes the ravine scarred sides of the Macdonnel Ranges about 5 k's away in shades of yellow, pale red and burnt orange. The air is full of birdsong and insects and it's nice to amble along, camera and nokkies in hand, observing Nature's morning shift clocking on for the day while the night shift goes home. Contemplation comes easily and soothes the mind.
The dogs enjoy it too, although I can't vouch for what goes through their mind.

I like the simple things in life. Like a walk along the beach with the kids or walking in the bush (rain forest) with the family and a nice lunch afterwards. That type of thing.

Not really a passtime I suppose just enjoying life.

I also like a good difficult plus level square dance hoedown .... with a good square of experienced and skilled plus level dancers who don't take themselves too seriously (some do). Singing calls are too predictable and boring.
Good fun with a bunch of beginners too - provided they have a good sense of humour and are there to have fun and learn.
Been dancing off and on since the early 70s.

Been a while since I went to a square dance - over 2 years now - gotta get back to it - great way of keeping fit , keeps the mind sharp and a great way of meeting people.

Guitar - been mucking around with them since i was little. Got me a fender, and a pedal with all the effects i'll ever need - and dad's old 100w valve amp (which are all the rage these days - funny how some things make a comeback)

This is a tough one. I really like my bushwalking, and do as much as I can. But I think the real enjoyment comes with sailing. The night sky out on the water is the darkest I have ever seen. I have ofen thought of taking my scope with me, but the deck is moving just too much. :lol: I find the sailing to be very relaxing.

Tinkering in the shed, making and repairing furniture, bit of computer and general electronic repair work. Fills in most of my time.

Listening to music is my most constant pastime (as I type this I'm listening to Mick Conway's National Junk Band). Recently I bought an acoustic bass guitar and joined the bluegrass 'band' on campus. I'm still pretty ordinary, all fluffed notes and confusion, but I'm really enjoying it and every now and then we get it going. I love bush walking but do too little. I'm also a birdwatcher but rarely go anywhere especially to see a bird, I just do it as part of my other activities (even seen night birds while observing).

After xmas we'll be off for our annual camping trip. We've got the 4WD, good quality gear and are self contained so we don't need camping grounds. We know some pretty quiet places (I won't say where) where we can get away from it all. We do some walking, some reading, some bird watching, some swimming, a bit of wine appreciation and a lot of unwinding.
