How beautiful is this at the moment????

Sometimes you do not need a scope!!

Rocket Boy, you have set a high standard, hopefully weather holds out for the four of them to be shot tonight and even better tomorrow!

I think tomorrow night will be better, the moon will be between the two.

But I agree, it was a spectacular naked eye sight tonight, a camera or scope wouldn't have done it justice.

I managed to get a few shots of the conjunction last night. The first shot I took was the best of the lot, at least in the digital stuff. I took some emulsion shots as well, but I need to get them developed... if not successful they will probably be the last using alchemy.

I used my work camera: Canon A400 3.2 mp, night scene mode, everything else in default or auto, 2.2 zoom. 6:04 from the front yard of my place over the Pecan Nut tree.

050907.jpg is the original and 050907_b.jpg is about a 50% crop.

I was very happy, as you can imagine. Only wish the camera had more zoom.:D
