H-H222 Waterfall Neb

Hi All,
Here is my image of the Waterfall Neb (AKA H-H222) in SII. It forms part of a project to reproduce an image in S&T Oct 1995 Pg39.

Details;
12" f5.5 ST7e
6x30min (3 hours) SII -4x30min Darks and bias
Combined as median and cropped.

Jeff, no denying this is an interesting target. Must be extremely faint. Will be honest, 3 hours with the super sensitive ST7, I would expect much greater detail. I'm assuming its not a strong SII target (not many are requiring mega data). This aside, its unique and rarely imaged, at least in narrowband! Thanks for sharing.

Had a look to see where this object was. Found out it was 'below' M42 so used Registar with your image to locate it on one of mine. It is faint!

That's it Bert. Not many realise that they have indeed imaged it, or often pass it by for the brighter (near daylight) M42. Well done.

It is faint in NB SII. The data was combined in MaximDL as median to reduce cosmic ray images. The actual target is slightly lower right of the "Waterfall" -H-H 24. When this project is finished it should be LHaSIISII as imaged by the ESO, I can't find a e-image at the moment. As more data is gathered it should become more clear.:D
