Hi all,

before I started to prepare my equipement for photographing with the telescope I made a pic without guiding.
350d (mod.) with Sigma 18-125, using 18mm, ISO 800.
Thats the view of the SW horizon at 3 am in the morning. (Dec. 9th)

I enjoy widefield like this. Is your camera modified? What exposure time did you use? You have captured the colour of the stars perfectly

I think some of the stars look a little "over exadurated" in size and color.. it doesnt look natural.. On the other hand, its a fantastic shot of the horizon, with the setting stars...

I used the modified 350d. Exposure time 12s.

I used the Gaussian Blur function in PS for showing the colors of the bright stars. You are right, looks al little bit unreal, its more a painting than a photo ;).
