Hi all at 17:40 (+8GMT) I was in the backyard checking out the sky when a fireball larger and brighter than Venus passed directly overhead (I am on Negros Island in the Philippines) heading almost directly West to East.
First time I have seen a fireball in the daylight and I am impressed!

Not sure which....
iridium flares move slower than metors, also iridium satelites tend to be lower towards the horzison....but I never heard of daylight metors???

This was fast, big, bright and directly overhead. I am calling it a fireball simply because I have seen fireballs before and accept for the minor point that it was in daylight it sure looked like one.
However it certainly could have been an I.F..
