They maybe ugly conditions Exfso, but at least you're getting up and making the most of what you've got to work with. Unlike this little bunny :ashamed:  . A shot well worth getting up for

I used the Toucam 2 and 5x powermate, registax and K3ccd tools.
1/33sec, saturation 100%, brightness 50%, zero gamma, 30% gain, and hoped for the best. I think there was about 1000frames I stacked.

Nice one Exfso.
Did you use the TOA130 or the Meade LXD55?

Should have said I used the Toa130, dont think the SN10 is up to this sort of thing, much better for DSO stuff.

Hey good to see that you posted the image. Looks pretty good despite the crabs coming out of the trees.

Tony, Peter only lives about 5km from me. He and I frequently talk. The conditions the night he took the image were bad. Very cold and here we had winds gusting. Hence the crabs coming out of the trees. Just a joke.

What day was this taken, looked at Mars this morning (6 Spt) and it looked very clear and crisp.

BTW lovely image... Shadows look different to what I remember.

Thanks people. Yeah it was blowing like hell. BTW does anyone have that proggy that shows what Mars should look like. I thought I saved it somewhere, but cant find for the life of me. Not sure what is N, S E or W on the image. I know the Ice cap is South, but thats all. Hey, I got a lot I need to learn.

Cheers

Peter, try Mars Simulator II (it's on the S&T website) or the T. Ikemura simulations here: http://www.kk-system.co.jp/Alpo/MS2005/MSmenu.htm

Just choose the date and time (UT) and you're on your way.
