You never know, the laugh may be on us but I serously doubt it

I am sure that the current record holder of the quickest time up Pikes Peak in the US a Suzuki. I think it was an 800-900hp Twin turbo V6.

You're right Kal - Fear the SWIFT:scared:

I was thinking I'll stay in second gear on my bike to give them a chance to catch up.

But then again you can't outrun radio waves.

I think you misunderstand the purpose of this vehicle. :P It would be great for chasing shoplifters through shopping centres or collecting wanderers from aged-care facilities. And if it is the sooped-up model they could catch miscreant bicycle riders. :2thumbs:

But whatever its faults and failings it a damn site better than those bloody hummers they've got. Talk about a waste of money! :screwy:

The American University campus police riding in their golfcarts would be drooling over that beast!:eyepop::rofl:

Don't knock it too hard, I used to have one of them. Was called a Holden Barina though (same thing, different badges). Would hit 130Km/hr+ at a push ( so I'm told ;) ). Could sit on 100km/hr on corrugated gravel roads and stick like glue on the corners.

I have a soft soft for them too, my first brand new car was a swift back in '95, complete with a full exhaust and a group A chip. Clocked up 270K on it too before selling it :)
