Here's my first M42 of the season. This is my first attempt at layering different exposures. Its made up of 4 x 30 sec, 5 x 60 sec and 5 x 240 seconds all at ISO 400. Digital development in IP, levels, layered and unsharp mask in PS3.

Of course a jet flew over midway through an exposure - I've yet to work out how to remove it.

There was also some serious blue blotches - amp glow or internal reflections. I cheated and cloned them out. I'll try ICNR next time.

In my enthusiasm to get a few shots off (after all that damn rain) I forgot the trusty UHC filter. Seems not to have been a problem which surpirsed me.

Used the SN 8 on EQ6 guided with the DSI. Shot with modded Canon 350D.

All comments and tips welcome.

Thanks

I use Images Plus -there is so much to use in the program that I have only scratched the surface. It stacks like a charm
