Hi All,
Mucking around with my new Canon 450D last night, managed to capture this decent one. 15sec exposure at ISO1600 (and somewhat out of focus in areas!!)
Just thought I would share it with you all, even with those solar lights around my pool I still managed an ok shot.
Cheers,
Ben

Yes those clouds came in quite quickly last night with the southerly. I was surprised with the amount of light on the eastern horizon under Orion, if nothing else it makes for an artistic shot!!

Yep - I had a 1-hour window on Orion from dusk until I was clouded out too. The southerly made tracking a little interesting... GOT to get me an observatory.
Didn't really notice the easterly light though. I was in my back yard and the height of the surrounding houses tends to block light near the horizon - which is handy.

I'm very much hoping that it all clears on the south coast for thee weekend....will be down at Sussex Inlet and will have a chance for a few hours worth of exposures if weather permits!!

Nice shot, and it's always amazing how much the camera can see (that you can't).
