View Full Version here: : I'm smiling too !
Well I'm happy.
I managed to get a shot of smiley too.
The weather here looked terrible early on but it partly cleared so we could get a look.
Here's the first photo off the camera, I took a few and I'm going through them but most are similar.
I've also included a full size crop of Jupiter from the same shot.
Cheers

Top shelf RB well done mate. Does this mean you can now get rid of the scary hybrid cross between Jon English and Neo from the Matrix in your avatar ?????
Surprise surprise I got clouded out AGAIN for the 10th week in a row - yes 10 weeks since I have captured a photon and counting as this weekend looks like garbage too.

Thank you Gary.
I really love the 135mm L, it's such a sharp lens, even wide open.
 John English + Neo = RB
You crack me up, "madmax of the 21st Century"
I knew you'd capture the best smiley of them all girl !
Much appriciated Mike, thanks mate.
I was surprised to capture the Jove moons.
Thanks champ, you did very well at Avoca (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=38397).
I didn't think it was going to clear at all for us !
.... and here's a widefield from the same night, this one looks like he's got his mouth wide open.
As I said I didn't think it was going to clear since it rained earlier so I didn't travel far from home.
Glad to have gotten something, it certainly was a lovely conjuction.

Thanks Mike, I wish I had this western horizon at home, but it's the next best thing.
