with heavy cloud i managed to get some shots off - no where near the quality of last night:mad2::sadeyes:
a mixed bag with the pentax k10D and the Canon 400d:shrug:
Alan Meehan came with me and I set up in the same spot as last night at Warners Bay. But as you can see with the sunset shot looking south towards Mike (way down central coast) they had a corker of a sunset down there. Just wish it was cloudfree!!!!

Ya gotta be happy with them, Dave. Love the sunset and the Moon and planets through the clouds give it a great feel.
Great work Houghy, especially for the conditions.
LOL Mike, you're right, the last one looks like he's winking.
Great sunset shot too mate.

Lovely Dave, the wide shot with the smiley looking through the clouds over the lake is a beauty!
Wonder how many shots of this event will be sent to the David Malin Awards next year??? ;)

Funnily enough I only do the last bit, the rest is for making fake doctored images :D
I think there have been plenty of versions of the smiley face taken at "Twilight" ..? ;)

I splurged on Noise Ninja just to keep the world economy going, all i can say is WOW what a difference milo makes........... oh and processing from RAW files, best 130 dollars I have spent (this week) Mcnaught will get a completely reprocessing from me with noise ninja..........
Wow !!!!.........you actually bought s/w?
I mean......Wow...what a stunning photo, that's awesome mate. :D
The colour is fantastic.
So you reckon NNinja is good huh?
I'll have to give it a try, I've always wanted to.
Maybe Neat Image is a little dated now, I'll see how they compare.

it is reasonably easy to use - well i used it so there that says it all:rofl::whistle:
you can trial it but it sticks watermarks all over your image when your done:sadeyes:

I was going to say the other day that you should put a little more care into your processing, including noise reduction.
I use Noiseware Pro.
