I have for sale the following Coronado solar gear, for sale as separate packages:
a) SolarMax 40 OTA (<0.7A) with SM40 filter/tuner, and BF10 diagonal. Complete with tube rings, and Coronado custom hard carry case. Note that on close inspection, the BF10 has a slight amount of staining inside the blocking filter. I mentioned this to Coronado in the USA a while ago, but was told not to worry. It doesn't affect either safety or the view. $1500 plus postage.
b) SM40 filter/tuner stand-alone, ready to double stack onto your Coronado PST to achieve 0.7A or better performance. I will also include a Coronado stacking ring in case you want to stack this filter on your existing SolarMax 40 scope. If you do this, please note I cannot guarantee 'matching' of the filters. Using it on a PST is a far safer bet as the PST has a wider etalon 'window' to accommodate nearly all SM40 filters. I am selling this filter separately, and not as a Double Stack system with the SolarMax scope above since the filters are not specifically matched, and were bought separately. I feel that two people having the opportunity to run good 0.7A scopes is better than one mediocre 0.5A scope. Comes in Coronado hard case. $550 plus postage.
c) Takahashi FS60 adaptor plate to allow the above SM40 filter to be used with the famous baby Tak. Bear in mind you would also need to purchase your own separate blocking filter/diagonal. Finished in anodized Gold to match the filter, and blackened inside to maximise contrast. $75 including postage.
Get ready for the upturn in solar activity!
Pictures of kit available on request.
Please EMAIL me with any interest to robert_greaves@bigpond.com as I don't unfortunately get much opportunity to get onto the forum.
Thanks,
Rob.
