View Full Version here: : Extraordinary video of Sunday's wild Brisbane storm
I was sent this a little earlier today.
This really puts it into perspective for anyone wondering what all the fuss was about and would like to know what it was like in the middle of it all:

Reminds me of the Newcastle June Holiday Cyclone of 2007 which blew and rained like.
So when do you reckon the NSW and QLD State Govs will impose on Cyclone Codes on new buildings from Newcastle ---- Brisbane ?

I'd be drilling a couple of 1" holes in the base of the roof and top of the wall frames and have some handy 3/4" bolts ready to drop through the holes when the university is in lock up mode or maybe put some tiedowns into the concrete slab and have some handy lengths of steel cable ready loop around the roof trusses and shackle to the cables so the roof stays put in this kind of even. Which seems to be very frequent the last few years.
Might do the second one (put some conveniently tiedowns in the slab when I get it down. Some bent reobar will do the trick.

That's an amazing movie. I've never seen anything like that in Australia.
Scary stuff.
