What the....

The radio just told me that folk (like me) who generate their own solar power should be taxed:eyepop::scared:... but for good reason:whistle:...as there always is when tax is mentioned:lol::lol::lol:.

Has anyone heard of this stuff:shrug:... seems strange way of taking the industry forward:shrug:.. but not being a tax advisor to the government how should I know.

If they try that, they've lost my vote forever. It's already teetering because they have all but killed the subsidy with a means test.

Next they'll reckon us rural folk will have to pay a tax on the rainwater we collect because it free from the sky, sometimes.

Actually I think it was Malcolm Turnbull that did propose that idea earlier this year.

Please never blame the politicians..it is our fault...for whatever reason we think they are there to do the right thing by us..is it not a case of fool me once shame on me... fool me twice then shame on me... how many times will we let them fool us and respond as if such were the first time in history a politician ever let down the hopes of the people.....because they may be of the party of our choice we think that gives us the inside track..well it does not..we cant blame them to do what we know they will do ,..or wont do.. why should a new one do it different to those who went before him..

It is only about raising revenue and cattering to vested interests..

ahhh ..... if they can tax solar power , then one would assume they consider it a supply from them.... therefore i might say that, no i dont require their sunlight please disconnect it. (without touching anything on my property.

As its a supply provided by them, then hopefully they will compensate all people who get sunburn.

the rain gets much the same attitude, i am doing them a favour by collecting it and not being a burden on the community.

However, if you feed power back into the grid, you are making a supply and therefore could be liable for GST on the supply you have made.... this could be the tax you have heard of.
