Hi folks,
Just letting you know that there are going to be a couple of major astro science announcements tomorrow morning (Fri), between 6:00 and 7:00am, Sydney time.
I'll have updates on SpaceInfo.com.au as soon as possible after 6am, and no doubt the news will be everywhere else too.
Cheers,
Jonathan

Sorry mate. :-) The info is strictly embargoed until then, and it would be more than my life is worth if I let the cat out of the bag early. I'm itching to tell, but we'll just have to wait until the morning.
Cheers!

Fish fossils found on Mars.
That would be a nice one to stir things up.
Or SETI makes contact.

Amazing!
To actually get a photograph of them is extraordinary.
Fantastic stuff!
With the Formalhaut planet it looks like the data was captured 4 & 2 years ago, why so long to announce it? Maybe there was a 3rd image from 2008 to correlate the movement?
Looking at how little the planet has moved in 2 years I wonder how many other star's planets thay have been imaging where follow up images will turn up something?

It seems like there was two lots of planets found by two different teams.

cool.:eyepop:
i like the imagary of this:
'If we're seeing light in reflection, then it must be because Fomalhaut b is surrounded by a planetary ring system so vast it would make Saturn's rings look pocket-sized by comparison.'

Cool!
Wasn't expecting that.
These are fascinating discoveries but I still would have liked to see fish fossils on Mars.
Maybe the next probe will find them.
