I am moving to Newcastle to complete my diploma in Laboratory Technology. Been stuck in Tamworth for to long, looking forward to lazy days on the beach. What really sealed the deal was the Astronomical Society of Newcastle at the Uni campus. Can't wait! And I'll be closer to the IISAC for next year. Do any member live in Newcastle?

I feel sorry for you .... too much damned light pollution.
Yeh ! I live here , Gateshead (just south of Charlestown).
I'm gagging to get out of Newcastle , but wont make the move unless it's for a least a permanent residential senior of higher level process engineering role.
Fishing has been pretty ordinary in the harbour the last few years too , boatys still catch a few jew in the harbour and up the river under Stocko Bridge .... not much help to me .... no boat.
Make sure you have a good supply of RID or Aerogard .... the mozzies are very hungry on campus at Callahgan .
Parking is near impossible on the Callahgan Campus , hope you like walking.
DLT , isn't that done at Tighes Hill Campus rather than at Callahgan Campus ?
I've not been a club member for many years. My studies (Masters Degree) get in the way lately , and before that it was work and raising a family getting in the way.
