Hello all,

here is a french north-east small suburbed Pelican :D.
8x10mn with 5nm Ha "magic" filter, using a '86 Epsilon 160+Audine Kaf 1603me for imaging and a fs60c for piggy-back guiding.

Pre and post-processing with Iris 5.52.

Dated 9-10-08.

Small size (201 Ko) : here (http://scala200.free.fr/images/e160/ic5070-sigclip32-8x600s-15o5d7f-log-red.jpg)

Full size (861 Ko) : here (http://scala200.free.fr/images/e160/ic5070-sigclip32-8x600s-15o5d7f-log.jpg)

I hope you enjoy it as i enjoy this first Ha imaging attempt ;)

Clear skies.

Wow, that's quite stunning! Will you be adding RGB data?

Good control of the Ha contrast in this image. Could be a little more "punchy", but that's a personal preference. Some RGB would be nice, but I like it as is. Diffraction spikes and blooms...hmmm not on the top 10 fun things to deal with in processing - especially if the bloom removal algorithm performs a star rotation function to compensate. Thanks for sharing your efforts. Look forward to seeing more.

Pierre,

Beautiful work.

I do, however, agree with Jase, in that some contrast could really enhance the image.

Well done.

Humayun

Hi you all,

Jase : thanks for comments... i am in search for a free and easy deblooming solution ;), MaximDL is quite expensive for this operation.
The rgb or narrowband pics should come with a new filter wheel.

Humayun: thanks you also !

Hi iceman, the rgb pics should come "nearly soon"... I.E. next year now, the nebula is down :(

Geoff : thanks a lot, i take your advice in account :D:D

Hi Pierre

Love the detail and the contrast ! wonderful shot ....the blooming must of been a pain to deal with at the speed.
