I was wondering if anyone had links to reviews of higher end mounts - those above the US $ 10,000 mark.

So the likes of the AP1200, PME, Losmandy Titan, Vixen Gaiax, ASA Direct Drive Mount 85 , Mount Instruments 250, Takahashi EM 400, 500, 2500, 3500 and Meade Max Robotic.

When it comes to real serious mounts - which may include both pointing and tracking software improvement suites - are their reviews showing how much bang for buck exists across these platforms - and where the extra spend is going an what it is getting you?

Are you after a transportable (I wouldn't say portable) or a fixed observatory mount ? Many not mentioned in your list such as

http://www.sungazer.net/ap900.html
http://www.mathisinstruments.com/
http://www.alpineastro.com/COMEC/10Micron_home.htm#centaurus

Parallax Instruments..

just for starters..

No I am after reviews of high end mounts, not a list, nor a link to their sites (thanks anyway).

I wish to collate a list of objective reviews and / or comparisions of the more high end gear against each other. The purpose is simply to try and assess how much bang for buck (and in what specific capability of the mount) your dollar is buying.

These sort of mounts I would expect to be permanently mounted in a astro-lab - but ignore that for now - please simply see if anyone can find great reviews for all of us to share.
