Just like to share my experience today.

I had some chips on my 12 inch Bintel Dob that I bought not so long ago. Now I realise that chips on the champher dont cause a problem, but they exchanged my mirror, collminated the Optics and were very professional in dealing with me. Their service was first rate.

I would not hesitate in going back to them for all my needs.

Jooster - where were the chips along the chamfer? How big were they?

Always good to hear news like that. Now just get some clear weather and use the **** thing :)

They were pretty well along the whole champher. The largest ones would have been about 2-3mm. They were on the upper left quadrant. The rest were smaller. Now I believe it doesnt make any diffrence to the performance of the mirror bit it doesnt look to good.
