There was a two hour clear spot on Thursday evening - enough to get polar aligned (just) ad only just start the imaging process. Oh well - next time!

M42, not nearly enough data, but at least I managed to get something!

Nice quick capture. Its the nature of the game. I have had the same where I set everything up whilst it all looked clear and by the time everything was ready clouds started to appear.

Makes you philosophical!

Greg.

Thanks Mick, Greg and Mike :)

Mike - yeah - not enough time to really absorb a decent amount of light, but thems the breaks.:) I didn't intent to do it really, it was more of a alignment/focus object.

How did you go with the data you got on B33? It was looking promising during that short stint! I was just starting on it as the clouds came back.

I've ran it through IP but not Photoshop yet - hopefully will get time to finish it off tomorrow. It did look good on the laptop, here's hoping.

Chris,

How much exposure did you get on it in total? There's so much potential there!

Thanks Humayun

I took quite a few JPG's first, becaue ImagesPlus Focus Control wants JPG rather than RAW images to play with - and I forgot to swap back.

All in all, there are about 6 JPG's ranging from 240 to 600 seconds plus a couple of RAWs at around 360 secs.

After talking with Mike, I was going to go with 15 x 15 sec subs followed by 10 x 60, 10 x 240 and 5 x 360 sec shots. The clouds killed that off!

Very nice Chris. Looks like you need another scope with a wider FOV. Better get another dog.
