Hi guys.
Went to Kulnura on Saturday night, sky was clear, transparency was great so before doing some eyepiece testing I decided to do some widefield shots on the EQ platform.
Sony DSCP100 on the EQ platform, 10 x 30s exposures @ ISO400, aligned and stacked in Registar, processed in Photoshop.
The milkyway was right overhead and I couldn't position the tripod to get the camera pointing directly up! How annoying! So it's slightly off-centre.
The first shot is more lightly processed, and includes the frame that a plane decided to go through. The second shot is more heavily processed, and I excluded the frame containing the plane, so it's 9 shots stacked instead of 10.
I'm still working on a fullsize version, but here are the websized ones.
Comments welcome.
