Since Randall also had to cancel out of our camping trip this weekend Ron (due to work commitments) I didn't end up going away solo either.

Instead of some Dark Sky camping, Joy and I and a couple of mates went to the Monster Truck "Tour of Destruction 2008" event at Quad Park (now Stockland Park) near Kawana tonight. Got to say we had a ball there - not cheap, but great fun!

Anyway ..... was gonna say I'd be keen to slip out to your place tonight too, but remembered that the Caloundra Events Centre is screening "In the Shadow of the Moon" late this afternoon (4pm or so?) so we're off to se that instead I believe.

So instead of catching up with you for some observing away in the bush, or for some observing at your place, it seems now the best I can do is wish you and Wes "Clear Skies" and a great night in general, and hope to see you both again sooner rather than later.

We normally have it as close to New Moon as possibleas we would like the longest period of darkness as possible:D so sometimes we can get two dark sky nights in a month:D:astron::stargaze:
