The .avi of this image was taken just before midnight on Oct. 25th.
I used AstroRon's 8" SCT with the Gstar.
The camera was set at 48x senseup, 500 frames were captured.
I've looked up Starry Night Pro to try and identify the object, but I guess the database doesn't go deep enough.
Any ideas anyone?

This does not look like an asteroid.. the trail is not straight?!
Some geostationary satellite, perhaps... from your site this may be the possible explanation , but I am not sure.

Jjjnettie,

As Bojan says, possibly just a geo...
These are often picked up in M42 deep sky shots as it's close to
the celestial equator where they all hang out.
Depending on your latitude of course where they actually lay in a plane.
If you did corrections during your capture or periodic error...that could explain the erratic line.
These objects are fairly dim.
I have captured a few over the years....all by accident :)
